[13:15:18] <abaumann> ..the binaries like pacman-static get fetched directly from the mirror and injected when creating a build chroot
[13:15:31] <abaumann> this simplifies some headaches when pacman or bsdtar are broken

[14:22:52] <abaumann> so, that's much easier that way with -s ':static_seed:', I could build libxml2, libxml2-legacy and icu76, now I'll switch back to normal node.

[15:54:01] <bill-auger> i also tried to build icu 76 for i686 yesterday - no dice - i assume you got the same problem, segfault/core-dump while configure tests the toolchain
[15:55:24] <bill-auger> i hacked my way past that error, and it started compiling but then core cumped again at a later stage
