[11:17:08] <jelle|M> hey, did you already build a container image for aarch64? :)
[11:17:12] <jelle|M> https://wiki.archlinux.org would be neat to try out

[11:31:16] <jelle|M> was there some guide for setting up on a hetzner vps, all my hardware is not compatible with aarch64 8.2
[11:33:14] <solskogen|M> DrZee might be able to answer that

[12:42:40] <hrdl> I have used mkosi to create an image for building mesa and vulkan-validation-layers on a debian aarch64 system: https://git.sr.ht
[12:42:41] <phrik> Title: ~hrdl/archbuild - sourcehut git (at git.sr.ht)
[12:44:00] <hrdl> That system's kernel didn't support landlock, hence the extra no-landlock branch

[17:58:12] <bschnei> jelle: it is possible to install to a Heztner VM from their recovery console by following the principles here: https://wiki.archlinux.org
[17:58:14] <phrik> Title: Install Arch Linux from existing Linux - ArchWiki (at wiki.archlinux.org)
[18:29:51] <artafinde|M> bschnei: look at infrastructure repo ansible role of install_arch
[18:37:21] <bschnei> not familiar with ansible but ya it seems like it is also following the same idea. I ran into hiccups because the recovery console uses older systemd which doesn't support the -S option. So it's not a "pain free" experience, but I managed to get it working
[18:44:51] <gromit> jelle|M: If you want I can give you access to my VM
[18:55:39] <bschnei> same. I have nothing sensitive on mine but it does build packages so can be CPU constrained regularly
[19:49:54] <hrdl> jelle|M: I've just tested the container image I mentioned earlier today on my x86_64 system using qemu-user-static and binfmt_misc to build wlroots
[19:52:13] <hrdl> For sudo to work, the C flag needs to be set in /etc/binfmt.d/qemu-aarch64-static.conf . Landlock is not supported, so I needed to use the no-landlock branch
[19:53:18] <hrdl> Finally, there's something up with the TTY, since prompts are not shown. I haven't figured this out yet, but other than that building aarch64 packages works
[20:34:28] -!- binarycraft has joined #archlinux-ports
[20:35:32] <binarycraft> bschnei: please help review this change, fix bluetooth and power button on x1e: https://gitlab.archlinux.org
[20:35:33] <phrik> Title: fix bluetooth and power button on x1e80100 (!3) · Merge requests · Benjamin Schneider / linux · GitLab (at gitlab.archlinux.org)
[21:06:04] -!- binarycraft has quit [Quit: WeeChat 4.8.1]
[21:08:13] <bschnei> merged. thank you! i haven't figured out how to get notifications for new MRs in gitlab...
[21:13:31] <solskogen|M> I'll build the package asap!
[21:43:29] <bschnei> be aware I haven't incremented pkrel
[22:08:23] <solskogen|M> if someone wants to try, there's a easy job to create a MR for the package pwru
