[08:49:49] <solskogen|M1> is file still broken?
[08:51:28] nie_ is now known as nie
[08:52:37] <solskogen|M1> Because that works on my Pis, my Orion board and our AWS workhorses
[08:58:24] <Daanct12> solskogen|M1: nope, not on arch ports
[08:58:32] <Daanct12> broken on alarm
[08:58:55] <solskogen|M1> Oh, great :-)
[11:18:49] <Daanct12> solskogen|M1: so why is `file` broken before? was it because of some weird instructions?
[12:05:47] -!- Daanct12 has quit [Quit: WeeChat 4.7.0]
[12:20:57] <solskogen|M1> I remember that is was some time ago. But I didn't take much notice since it got fixed (not sure how)
[13:29:19] <josd|M> switching my lenovo yoga slim 7x to this repo now 😁
[13:29:45] <solskogen|M1> good luck!
[13:30:22] <josd|M> already switched an M2 MBP 🙂
[13:30:53] <solskogen|M1> Using mainline kernel?!
[13:31:01] <josd|M> no, linux-asahi
[13:31:30] <josd|M> well, didn't really switch, I built a custom asahi installer image using this repo, and installed from that
[13:31:49] <solskogen|M1> almost the same thing :-)
[13:32:06] <josd|M> the end result, yes 😉
[13:32:12] <josd|M> hopefully
[13:32:50] <solskogen|M1> I see that you have your own mesa. But please try the one we've got and see if it works!
[13:33:20] <josd|M> I did, it works
[13:33:57] <josd|M> well, at least for normal desktop rendering, steam crashes quite badly, didn't investigate yet
[13:34:16] <solskogen|M1> I haven't been able to convince the mesa maintainer to merge my changes yet.
[13:34:19] <josd|M> probably related to our custom overlays for x86
[13:34:30] <josd|M> and rootfs
[13:35:07] <josd|M> that may become unnecessary as on the yoga, steam works with the generic arch rootfs
[13:35:35] <solskogen|M1> Nice. and please report if you have any issues.
[13:36:26] <hrdl> Danct12: I meant the PineNote, not the PineTab 2. Both use an rk3566
[13:37:16] <hrdl> I've just switched mine from an ALARM-based system without any issues besides having to disable signature validation since the key isn't published
[13:40:08] <josd|M> hmm, I'm getting a 403 on the public.key file
[13:41:46] <hrdl> The kernel is close to mainline. Right now it's based on 6.17-rc5 with some changes that haven't been upstreamed yet
[13:42:11] <jelle> 6.18-rc5 is already out :D
[13:42:18] <josd|M> wasn't the key in the extra repo some time ago?
[13:42:29] <gromit> josd|M: which key?
[13:42:45] <josd|M> the public key for the packages
[13:43:08] <josd|M> 02CF256...
[13:45:44] -!- drathir_tor has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
[13:46:09] -!- drathir_tor has joined #archlinux-ports
[14:00:34] <solskogen|M1> the key isn't published anywhere
[14:14:43] <josd|M> well there was a public.key in the extra repo at one point
[14:19:44] <hrdl> josd: you're right, and it's still there: https://arch-linux-repo.drzee.net
[14:26:15] <josd|M> hmm, not sure how I missed it 😅
[18:26:02] <DrZee> josd|M: the key will NOT appear on the index list where you can see all packages in the repo (arch-linux-repo.drzee.net/arch/extra/os/aarch64/ ) .... you just have to know its there ;) .... its on my Todo list to setup a proper signing key distributed through the usual gpg servers ... but have not had time yet ... very busy at work.

[21:59:31] <solskogen|M1> I was expecting more report of things that are broken... don't you guys test?!
[22:05:12] <wCPO> outside production?
[22:08:06] <solskogen|M1> I... I don't know what you mean.
